What was the highlight of Hotel Bellinzona Daylesford
Loved it!
Hotel Bellinzona is absolutely beautiful! Reception staff were friendly and the lounge/bar was super cosy. We felt like we were in a movie at times with the high ceilings, dim lighting and extravagant artwork all around. Rooms are also really comfortable. Check in/check out was super breezy. Location was also perfect for all the activities we had planned in Daylesford. Thanks again to the cleaners and reception staff Darren for finding and contacting me about my sunglasses I'd left behind. Really appreciated the phone call and subsequent email.
The walls in the rooms are paper thin. We could hear people walking through the corridors, going in/out of their rooms and chatting. The pipes would make a loud screechy noise whenever the guests next door were showering. Heating could've worked better as well. We did have an unusual experience with the staff on our first night. The lobby bar was closed, but we were told by reception staff we could order drinks from the restaurant bar and bring them back to enjoy in the lobby. Unfortunately, this was not the arrangement they had agreed on and the restaurant manager was quite upset. Us and a bunch of other hotel guests were subjected to his public display of annoyance and felt really awkward while waiting for our drinks. While the manager did state that the animosity was not at all directed at us guests, he was very vocal and made little effort to contain his irritation. This carried on for some time. I think it was quite unprofessional and tasteless. Not sure how he expected us guests and the diners present to react to that, but we were all visibly uncomfortable.

Wonderful escape from the the mundaine dat to day
The hotel has a very pleasing asthetic and wonderful for a quick getaway. There is also alot of attention to detail when it comes to furnishing of the entire establishment.
The entire place could benefit from an upgrade to there air conditioning system and an update to the bathrooms in general, There was also a wait time on ordering foor at certain times, which should be lokked into.
